It was a joke. I was poking fun at how sarcastic Panlew's reply was.
Yes, Incursion will take a while and progress has been laughably slow, but when it
is done, or at least in a condition to be released, hopefully it'll be worth it for the people waiting.
The only disappointment I have is that a lot of ideas I'd considered implementing (and in some cases downright game-changing), other modders thought of as well and beat me to the punch. By the time Incursion is done, there might not be a whole lot left that players haven't seen done elsewhere before. I guarantee you though, I still have a few surprises

I know the feeling....
me: "I will make a door room a cargo hold!"
Lemmonade: "Hey guys look at this new cargo ship I made!"
me: "I will go make a ship that is like a vanilla ship but is made of different ship parts!" (eg making a mantis cruiser 100% of rock parts to appropriate areas to make a fake mantis cruiser so to say)
someone: "Hey, I made a kestrel "Zoltan" cruiser guys!"
me: "I'm uh.... gonna make a satellite dish hacky thing?..."
sleeper: "I just made new weapons guys!"
me: "okay.... okay.... I will make a flak gun that will start fir-"
someone: "so I just experimented with AE and made this inferno gun!"

this is why I only released 2 ships so far, if my ideas didn't kept being creamed to the point that I deem my ships 'average' or nothing special, then I would have potentially made 20 ships so far, I already have 12 ships that I know off that is in perfect condition to be uploaded, all bugs gone, balanced, type A and B. etc....
But that is what I am excited for, someone trying to push the limits even further like you.
I also have an idea bubbeling in my head and all I need to do is wait for SL2 to be updated and tadda. Still debating.
But either way, even if your mod has nothing new at all, I bet the music alone and detail to the game you applied is more then enough to be epic.
