Arsenal+ v1.24.1 English Data v0.32.7

- added some new events, and squashed some bugs

I was originally intending on releasing the next update (v0.33) later, which would include another slew of events, but then while translating I noticed a number of bugs, missing end tags and such. bug fixes take precedence over other matters, and so this update is part bug-fix and part 'new' events (technically, there is something new I added, but it isn't really a separate event).

expect more updates soon 8-)

not a big update by any means and not at all why I'm here right now (see below) but I figured if I'm here I might as well put this tiny update in.

Arsenal+ DLC Ships-2 1.1 English v1.0

the real reason for this post. the reason this wasn't released sooner is that in my opinion, it spoils some of Arsenal+ because the ships are literally miniature versions of enemy mini-bosses and other special ships. However, it seems some people wanna play this anyways and I don't blame them: they are ships to play around with after all. so... this is the actual release of an English version.

I don't think I did the best of jobs when it comes to some of the descriptions and the like, but it's a step up for anybody (non-Russian speaking ofc) who wants to know about the ships, and in some instances, artillery.

be sure to load this after the english data and resource mods. :mrgreen:

Hello! I was wondering, I'm currently playing FTL with Captain's Edition, Infinite, Endless Loot, Randomized Flagship/Playership, and some weapon packs; C&C, Anomaly weapons, Steamtex weapons, and GO BALLISTIC! I want to add as soon as it updates. ...If it ever does.

This mod seems really cool, so I wanted to give it a shot, but after looking through this post and also through the Russian post, I can't find anything about a suggested load order for playing with CE/Inf/EL, and I've also noticed that apparently the Inf version of this mod is outdated? Could I get information on all this?

that's because this mod is incompatible with CE and any modules exclusive to CE. Arsenal+ is a complete overhaul in the same vein as CE, CR, Insurrection and A Strange New Galaxy are complete overhaul mods: you play only one of them at a time and don't mix them. using one of them with another just doesn't really make all that much sense because they add different sectors, different enemies, different weapons/drones, and have base balance differences (like between CE and CR).

on top of that, arsenal+ changes some of the vanilla blueprint names so there's a possible issue of compatibility with player ship mods there. there is some infinite module for Arsenal+ but I've yet to upload a translated version of that. I think Arsenal+ would work with any weapon packs and the randomized flagship mod.

I've heard someone say they've played insurrection with CE, but that honestly doesn't make sense really since they have sector types that aren't compatible with each other, so I'm not going to speculate on what you'd do if you try and combine them.

I hope you still give Arsenal+ a shot because I've had a bunch of fun with it, but yeah I really don't see how it would be compatible/could be used with CE, unless someone else can enlighten everybody on how they've made such a thing possibly work..

CE is incompatible O_o:? Well some parts sure, but on the whole it seemed to be doing just fine for me XD I never realized they weren't meant to go together.
I run with about 25 mods installed but everything somehow most of it works so no issues here :D

Chances are some parts of them don't work but eh, no crashes yet XD
Bear in mind I have little to no idea how most of this works, I just try different orders until it seems to work :P

That's... Awe-inspiring. Hold on though, I thought the 1.2 version of Go Ballistic had a glitch where almost all weapons came from it?

More to the point... What exactly is your game like? And can it be Infinite-ized?

Thats interesting, what does the glitch do:? I find Ballistic weapons appear in stores and sometimes I pick them up from events.
The weapon variety sure is great, every run has an entirely different set and the majority of them feel balanced.
I always run with arsenal now, due to the huge number of extra events and material it adds. Idk how much of the CE material is still there, it feels like an expansion to playing CE had, rather than a replacement. Plenty of CE events still there though.
Using the Random Flagship mod means you don't get the moonbase pic at the final 'base' but that isnt really an issue. Limited time offer can work as well, loading other ship mods can work but I think there can sometimes be some bugs.
Plenty of mini boss fights along the way, and enemies often use a variety of weapons which you can surprise you.
Due to my carelessness there are probably a number of clashes or mod problems, but nothing that Ive noticed in-game.
It probably could be infintized, theres enough varity to make it interesting for quite sometime. However the mod load order would need to be re-done, I just stuck them all in there XD

EDIT: Just found some erros in my mod load order, Ive got the CE Endless loot mod working proporly well as well as additional ship mods. Im currently running it with the Randtrel mod, which randomizers all ship systems/weapons/images for extra fun :3

Now the question is, do I play with load orders with you to figure out infinite, or do I give in and go with the load order you figured out just now? Hmmm...
Incidentally, that first image. Ouch. What happened to you?

Also, I can't find the topic mentioning it, but I could swear there was some weapon mod where a stated bug, that the author acknowledged, was that their weapons seemed to show up 90% of the time. Maybe I'm losing my mind a little.

Also sweet a randflag for Arsenal.

so... I stand... corrected? I don't even know.. I'll have to try out that load order Dire_Venom posted.. huh. so I thought if a file doesn't have an append type file extension it overwrites everything in the file, but Dire_Venom mentioned CE events still show up, so maybe that's wrong?

just know that the compatibility was never looked into, so while possible, that's (mostly) uncharted waters. someone should look into that though :roll:

weapons showing up 90% of the time (with other weapon packs) is impossible unless the mod makes the rarity for all other weapons 0, or puts a lot of duplicates in. the way rarity works is 1-5, 1 being lowest, 5 being highest: 5 puts 1 item in the loot pool, 4 puts 2, 3 puts 3, 2 puts 4, 1 puts 5, and 0 is unobtainable. so you can set level 5 rarity for a slew of weapons and then level 1 rarity for a few weapons and those level 1 rarity weapons will hardly ever show up.

if not with other weapon packs, then possibly they have rarity 1 set for every single weapon which would flood the loot pool.

the only real way to know is to look inside the mod for details ;)

thing about Arsenal+ Infinite is that it's different from CE Infinite in its main concept I think, but I guess I'll have to translate it anyways..
