What are your favorite names for your ship and crew?

I name mine after actors.

I thought it was amusing because I had this picture in my head of a reality TV show where famous actors fought for their lives on a space ship, and almost always lose.

My ship is usually named The M Falcon for Star Wars, The Ebon Hawk from KOTOR, or Star Scream because I thought that was a cool name from Transformers.

Think i'll just stick to PixelPain from now on :s

I dont tend to name crew members as they all end up in pixel heaven or maybe hell?...at the end anyways...saves getting attached! I just end up shouting "weapons/shield/pilot guy!"

I name my ship ususally 'The Adventure' or 'The Victory' I think these names have something enthralling and epic about them.
As for my crew, well male human is normally named after my reallife surname with the title 'Captain' in front of it, and if I have a female human crewmember at the start i ususally name her Wai-Shing, as this was the name of my engine technican in my first playthrough ^^"

I always, ALWAYS, name my ship "One of Ours."

"Ensign, identify that vessel!"
"It's One of Ours, sir!"
"Very good. Carry on."
"No, sir, I mean it's THE One of Ours, the ship we're hunting!" *my first volley impacts their hull and kills their weapons*

Essentially, I use it to explain the pre-igniter as them bickering over the newly-encoded (and official) name long enough for me to charge up my first volley. More fun than "they're pre-ignited, so they're charged right away" by a long shot!

Then, I always enjoy finding Notch and sticking him on the shields, I keep imagining him playing Minecraft while not in combat, 'cause he's still pushing buttons and such.

and Toruses: The First, Second, Third... LEGION.

I name my crew Weapons, Shields, and Pilot now. It helps out a lot. Usually I throw a Scottish sounding name on engines whenever possible.

Yeah, NAV, COM, DEF, and ENG are what I go with when I get four starting people.
