What are your favorite names for your ship and crew?

I really enjoyed renaming my starter ship and crew, it actually motivated me to keep my silly humans around after I found cool alien replacements. I am a huge Starblazers fan so my first play through I had lots of fun sticking Mark Venture in the pilot seat, Derick Wildstar in the weapons room, and Orion in the engine room. I wish I could have re-named some of my "found" crew so I could have continued the theme. I named the ship Yamato and had started my adventures. I am gearing up for my next play through and found myself wondering what names other people have chosen. So I figured I would ask, what did you guys choose for themes/names and do you try and match it up to the ship looks or do you not bother? I saw someone mention naming their cast after Red Dwarf and that really cracked me up, great idea.

On my most recent playthrough I named my ship after a K-Pop song ("Bubble Pop"), piloted by Hyuna with Psy on weapons and SNSD (the collective hivemind, haha) on shields. That was hilarious...until it blew up in the first sector.

Defiant is a great name for a Kestral cruiser, especially if you get a cloaking device, stealth weapons and weapon pre-igniter augmentations, and manage to hit the holy of holies and mount four Burst Laser IIs.

Throwing that much firepower, you should be able to completely wreck an enemy's ship before they know what hit them. Direct all firepower straight into their weapons room and they won't stand a ghost of a chance.

Saboteur is an amazing name for any ship whereon you use a lot of teleport bombs/fire bombs/breach bombs, a boarding drone, and a boarding party, to wreck the enemy's ship.

I name my crew Weapons, Shields, and Pilot now. It helps out a lot. Usually I throw a Scottish sounding name on engines whenever possible.
