Indeed; the fact that the "spam?!?" post is buried under spam hints at the fact that something isn't working...... there's gotta be something to increase security.....

In the 5 mins since the last post, five new spam threads have been created. I'm going to message Justin as soon as he is on steam.

Sorry guys. We'll put more security on at some point. Maybe right before the release. However with so much other stuff going on it's been a low priority. I'll make sure that they get deleted in a timely manner for now at least.
If you're having hull problems, I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems but a breach ain't one.

Are you sure we should clean them up? I swear there were two spambots talking spamlish to each other in another thread.

Perhaps they've chosen the FTL forums as a breeding ground from whence will emerge a new evolution of Spambots. Spambot 2.0 you might say. Is it really our place to stop the Omnissiah's work?

This is a REALLY BAD IDEA. Imagine a scene, ten years from now. You're sitting at home, on a battered sofa watching a small fuzzy TV with the volume turned down low. On there, i'm being interviewed. "I told him, Attempting to breed spambots was a bad idea. yet he....." the picture descends into static.
There is a recognizable click-clicking getting closer and closer. You jump up and wrench the plug of the TV out of the batteries you've been running it on. staring out the window onto your street, you see, in between the broken glass and wrecked cars, a huge mass of silver moving slowly up the street. as it gets closer you can discern individual bots, each spouting out a different message.
"buy louis vuitton bags" "do you want a cheap holiday" "viagra online with no prescription" There's a smash as your front door is caved in. There's nothing you can do. you close your eyes and wait for your demise. you don't have to wait long.

Sorry, couldn't resist writing that......
