Luckiest Adventure Ever.

Post by classofeveryyear »

As a part of my Pocket Money Priced Games series of videos I'm playing FTL and compared to what I've watched in other videos I seem to be having it easy. Come and watch, give me some feedback as long as I can work on said feedback, and enjoy!

Well, you're playing on Easy, so of course you have it easy! :D

The first time I played the game, I got to sector 5 on Normal. And then I died. And died. And died. Good luck with your run. ;)

I might just have to go on to do a Normal adventure if I do find this too easy. Thanks for watching.

You do seem to be having a pretty fortunate first run!

I'd recommend not buying so much power. You'll want to hold onto a fair amount of scrap in case you find a worthwhile purchase in your travels, and you don't always need everything powered at once. The med-bay, for example, is worthless to keep running when your crew aren't injured, and the oxygen supply can be turned off temporarily to power a weapon or your shields, for example.

Also, while 40 free scrap early for the Pegasus missile was a nice boost, I would have held onto that weapon. It's quite powerful.

Finally, you can view the stats of your crew in a tab under the 'ship' page at the top of your screen to learn about their unique abilities. The two aliens you have are Engi, capable of repairing system damage at double speed but only dealing half damage in hand-to-hand combat.
