I want there to be an online feature i think this will help revive the game
personally i would love to play this with friends but it has to be only score based and i can't interact with my friends as much in PVP or PVE If you would like to see FTL go online please comment i'm almost certain i'm not the only one right?

There could also be little free report message boxes at the bottom that tell you things.
"You got yourself a pre-igniter? Tell your friends about it!"
"Nicely done with destroying the Flagship! Let others know how you did it!"
FTL is fine as-is without going massively online. If you want to compare scores, then discuss it with your friends or find one of those old highscore threads and post an actual highscore (or a lowscore if you can somehow get less than the 40 you get if you blow up at the start of the game) that everyone can compare with.
