Hello everyone. I bought FTL late last month, and have logged about 25-30 hours in the game (have been using the mod Captain's Edition) and have been enjoying the game more than most triple A titles I've sunk 60 dollars on this year.
Anyway, to get to the point. I am a musician, I have been composing music on the pc since 1998 and I have a website with about 60 songs give or take. Some old, some new. I wrote a song this morning at about 2 am and spent quite some time on it. I had the idea for this song the last time I was playing FTL and decided to get it out of my brain pan.
I hope you all enjoy the song. For a lack of a better title, I named it Faster Than Light, because it brings space exploration to my mind.

Please tell me what you think, as I always look forward to outside criticism. Thank you. And thank you to the developers for making such a fun game I can sink hours of my day into.

Wow, I'd say you totally nailed the style of the original OST. Pretty sweet track, keep it up.

That was great! It definitely feels like FTL, but it has a soothing darkness to it. Hey, we make an FTL animated series called FTL Kestrel Adventures https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... _DbdoYtifq and we're wondering if we can add your song to our list of repeating songs alongside Ben's soundtrack that appear in the show?mkuehling wrote:Hello everyone. Andr3wtime, I would absolutely LOVE that! I always love to hear that people enjoy my work. I saw the first two episodes of your work a while back, when I first started to play FTL earlier this year and laughed a lot. I don't have the song available for download to the public, but if you shoot me an email at mkuehling1983@gmail.com I'll send it your way. Just put something in the subject line like "FTL Kestrel Adv" or something to remind me who you are, as my memory isn't very good. I mean, I BARELY remember what I ate for dinner three nights ago lol. Anyway, cheers, and I'll keep looking for future episodes as that is one good web series.

I am not liking or enjoying it so much. Maybe it is the sounds you use. Or the beat? Probably both.
Anyway, it resembles on some level to me the bramble brush level from donkey kong country 2 more than FTL, IMO
That is not a bad thing, just perhaps not the feel you were going for.
