I searched for the answers and didn't find them, so maybe somebody can help me out. I have the Advanced Edition on Ipad. I got the Rock Cruiser C and played what seemed a ton of times trying to unlock the Crystal Cruiser and did not find a Rock Homeworlds. I was beginning to think it wouldn't spawn one with the Rock Cruiser C to prevent the "easy method." But then I finally did find one and I noticed somehow (without me even realizing how) the crystal crewman was gone. So, can anybody verify that the Rock Homeworlds does indeed show up on the Ipad version if you are using the Rock Cruiser C method (with crystal crewmember present)?
Secondly, does the clone bay have a cap on the number of crew it can hold in queue? In the above situation, before I noticed the crystal crewmember was gone, I was in a sun fire event and dealing with boarders (best I remember) and lost some crew but the clone bay was online and restored the crew.

The Rock Homeworlds will show up for anyone. The quest chain however will not unless you revived Ruwen the Crystal from his stasis pod.
So that means once you find the Rock Homeworlds with the Rock C (or the Crystal A or B) you need to keep jumping to beacons until one comes up with a blue option for Crystals.

As many as it likes. It's just that the latest two will only show up on the list
As follow up, in another 3 or 4 runs (2 of which I ended up restarting when there was no rock homeworlds), I did indeed find a Rock Homeworlds with the Rock Cruiser C and crystal crewmember. I renamed the crystal crewmember Ruwen just before jumping into the Rock Homeworlds sector (I think it was sector 5) and the quest beacon appeared. So, got the Crystal Cruiser (thank You Lord).

This is one crazy game. Some of the mods for the PC version sound like they'd be interesting. Be cool if the races could be changed too.
