Hey all (first post, yay!) I managed to unlock a few ships on my desktop, and I wanted to transfer that data onto my laptop.

can it be done? and how do I do it?

I'm certainly no expert, but if you make a copy of your savefile (it's in mygames/FTL/whatever on my machine, NOT in the install directory) I don't see why you can't just move it to the correct location on your other machine.

I haven't tried it myself but I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.

Move the two files prof.sav and continue.sav to your other computer and continue as normal.

I often copy my continue.sav file to someplace else as a backup in case the worst happens (i.e. death) so that at the very least I can continue (strike can, so that I HAVE the option to continue) on from where I was at the beginning of my play session. Yes, yes, I know, cheater cheater, dirty egg beater.

Someone reported a problem between files x86 windows (there's no x64 version) and x64 Linux. So be wary of that if that's a consideration.

I'm yet to poke around (for my own research, I'm not related to the dev team, I just get bored easily and like to poke around binary files in my spare time ...), but it sounds like a compiler issue to do with arch.
