Recently, you may have noticed threads with strange titles that usually advertise some game or movie. Do not, I repeat, do not click on these threads.
The more views they get, the worse- more views makes Google more likely to pick up the thread and its contents. This will result in the FTL forums getting associated with advertising, and whatever websites the spam threads are advertising will also go up in search ranking.

If you see these threads or spam posts:
Report Them Using this Utility, or PM me with the link to the thread. Though UltraMantis is the Moderator, I imagine he doesn't want to get a thousand PMs about the same threads. Link these threads and posts to me in your PMs, and I will sort through them, removing all duplicate reports, and send UltraMantis the complete list when needed.

Note: I am not a moderator, I just help UltraMantis.

My apologies to everyone, I'm usually quicker about dropping the hammer on those, but I haven't been paying as much attention to the FTL boards as I ought to, the last couple days.

What English said does stand - don't click on weird spam topics (and for godsake, don't reply to them!). If you see one, just PM UltraMantis or myself and we'll deal with it. Harshly.
