First of all, I want to point out that I am a fail at this game. I was finally on the last stage of flagship on my sol tan cruiser A. Got a drone system going. 4 shields. Doing extremely well... Until, hacked my weapon system, boarding party with 3 humans, and a boarding drone. Boarding drone killed my victory. Can't suffocate him. Killed my shields, can't repair them cause no oxygen in the room, and oxygen room is dead. Basically the drone my first victory.
lol, I once barely made it to the end of sector 7 with no fuel on kestrel. The rebel fleet was only a few jumps ahead of me so I put on the distress beacon for the next jump.
Met a Mantis Bomber with teleporter, 2 artemis missiles and an ion bomb. Noone could've came out of that one looking pretty.

I just start as the kestrel layouta I jump 2 rockmen 2humans come in. Imove my engine guy and weapon guy to the med bay. they move into the cabin. I jump again hacking drone hits the cabin locks the doors and my pilot is slaughtered I open the cabin to vent it they run out and blow up my door system I love the RNG

While I hate those the most (especially in later sectors when you get 6 of them), Slug Assaults (both Slug and Pirate) are also very horrid. They tend to do this in the form of having lots of Burst Lasers.
Slug Assaults end what might have been a good run.
