Anyone else think boarding drones are over powered?

Seriously, get two onto an enemy ship and they are completely screwed, particularly if you land them in the oxygen room.

Maybe, but nothing is guaranteed to even be available to you, let alone you having enough money to buy it if you find it.

But enemies have them, and I think they are probably the toughest thing to face in a fight.

Rotate crew through your medbay as you fight them. It might be hard if you don't have enough people though.

send everyone to fight it in the med bay? they will be healed while fighting. Same as any boarding attempt. Fighting in the medbay is your best chance.

Keep in mind, you can deactivate them by killing the drone bay, making it the only boarder you can take out indirectly.

I am just slightly annoyed that the anti-personnel drone (the one that sits in your own ship to defend it) seems to be much weaker compared to the boarding drone (weaker as in damage output , at least that is what I remember from the single time I used one...)

Maybe they aren't at the same combat level,it could be the enemy boarding robot is maxed.

I find, unless you're on critically low health, having someone follow the boarding drone around repairing each room one room behind the drone until you're able to take down the enemy's drone bay, works quite effectively.
