[SHIP] Impossible ship

OK so i am making a full game remake about the crystalmen and that i am changing the ships around. I have currently made 3 ships, the Crystral, the Adjudicator (zoltan type A remade) and the Nebula walker (slug type B). all i have to upload right now is the Nebula-walker and i should note, this ship is hard, meant for pros and in order for survival you must get drones and engie med bot dispersal. The back half is sealed off with no venting doors, no drone controls. The med-bay is in the back, you get full engines, if they get to damaged you will lose. if you do decide to take on this challenge, please post your score :lol: good luck! :twisted:
My score: 933 sector 3, lost crystal and mantis, gained a hum-an (renamed human for the main mod) and a rockman got med-bay (no E.M.B.D) and drones, boarding crew got back there.

Phew, this is a hard ship. Unlike The Vortex or DA-SR 12 (and all the other ships), you can basically never make this a ship without flaws because it lacks access to the back of the ship so you'll need to keep at least a system repair drone on hand and preferably an anti-personnel drone too. Since you only have two drone spaces, you won't be able to use a defense drone and you'll keep getting hit by missiles.

Then when your drone control takes too many hits, it's all over. When you can't repair your cloak, engines, doors, oxygen or sensors, the game turns to a desperate struggle where you often find yourself thinking "I probably should take that breach missile to the face since it seems to be going for an empty room. That way I can cloak the next one." Also, your little repair drone can't handle that many fires and often stuff burns down.

You basically don't want to board the enemy or fight them with your crew, lest they lose health. The engi med-bots/healing burst make this easier, but the back of the ship being closed off is such a huge weakness that winning is still going to require every micromanagement move you could think of. Also, luck.

I got to sector 5 on my 4th run and to the end of sector 7 on my 6th. Here are some screenshots:

I was doing moderately well on this 6th run but I got unlucky and weren't able to find usable weapons.

I'm not sure what the best strategy would be on this ship, I have yet to find a good one.

Also, please tell me when you've fixed the shield image, so I'll load the mod again.

Boomboofer, first congrats on making it that far, second this ship as stated before is meant for pros and is difficult, yes i made it so the two spots are anti boarding drone and repair drone, yes you do need engie medbot and ofcourse, if your drones go down, so do you. You are right about boarding. :D
oh and did you like the slug rapair gel? :twisted: :lol:
I am trying for the shields (all my tricks won't work, got any ideas?) and later on will have it's own custom graphics.

This is very similar in concept to the Duality, I'm afraid. Also, if you make a ship too difficult it gets to be simply a matter of chance instead of skill. After all, no ship is impossible if it has piloting, engines, and some way of damaging the Rebel Flagship; you just have to be lucky enough to avoid about a zillion enemy shots. Finding a repair drone increases the viability of this ship so much it's not even funny.

its funny, i kinda based mine off of it, true no ship IS impossible, but this is pretty damn close

Just dump the gel at the first store. :)
