HOW THE HELL DOES ONE REPAIR HULL DAMAGE?
(Sorry for caps, I am either blind, stupid or missing some point in this; maybe it's not possible to repair hull damage at all?)

Either:
1. A random event repairs your hull
2. You pay for it at a store
3. You use a hull repair drone
4. The "Repair Arm" augmentation

Go to a store and purchase hull repairs or use hull repairing drones - if you have them. Purchasing either costs scraps. Each use of the hull repairing drones costs drone parts. Sometimes, you can get lucky - an event will repair your ship. These are random, however.

My computer restarted in the middle of a battle and now I can't continue from where I was? Any chance of fixing it? Save game hidden somewhere?

Pretty sure it only saves if you pick the Save+Quit option. I think you lost that run.
