How does one repair the hull?

I've tried searching, but am told the terms "hull" and "repair" are "too common" to be searched.

(Someone needs to fix the search on this forum)

So, how do I have my crew repair the hull?

The crew can't repair the hull as far as I know, you have to visit a shop and buy repairs with scrap.

Your crew can not repair hull. There are 4 ways the hull can be repaired.
1. You find a store and buy the repair from the bottom left part of the store interface,
2. You come across an event that offers to repair hull for you. (not very dependable)
3. Repair arm augmentation
4. Hull repair drone (requires a drone system, hull repair drone schematic and drone resource to function)

Haha! Uh no. The fact that hull and repair are too common on a forum where every other thread will mention one or the other does not indicate a broken forum or search utility, haha.

That said figuring out where to fix the hull isn't blindingly obvious at the start... So yeah. :/

regarding the search function: I manage my own forums, and it's the combination of terms like hull AND repair that should make it function. In all my time managing computer systems this is the first time that I've had software reject normal english terms without them being too short.

For the record, I tried "hull", "hull repair", "how do I repair my hull" and a couple other combinations, and every single one was rejected. What then is the point of the search function?

Don't forget that there are special repair nodes in sector 8.
