On the topic of FTL and updates...

So I've been playing a lot of FTL lately. I've gotten to the point where I know most of the events and outcomes. I want to know whether the game is going to be getting some updates soon? I'm not going to beg because I know coding isn't an easy task , but I can imagine a lot of things that could be added just in terms of events. I'd love to see what else the devs can come up with.

So if you could add any one thing to the game, what would it be?

For me, I'd be stuck between the choice of adding a ship made to avoid shots that only starts with ion weapons, or an intruder subsystem that when fully upgraded did as much damage as an engi and would be in one corner of every room.

This is also my first post! fingers crossed this post hasn't already been made. Searched for it and it wasn't it plain sight so, I'll assume no.

If links/pictures are allowed here I would love to see the sketches of what you'd all like to see in the game!

Welcome aboard.

Inevitably someone was going to suggest that after playing the "vanilla" game you try out some mods. There's a whole bunch here in the Master Mod List, and some such as Captain's Edition, Descent Into Darkness or A Strange New Galaxy make comprehensive changes to the game and offer quite a different experience. There's a whole host of ships, some good, some not so good, and various other bits n bobs in the list.

As for your suggestions, there's no word on what a sequel may contain, or even if or when it may be expected. Most updates concentrate on fixing bugs and increasing compatibility with several options being added but mostly minor. Things like individual weapon autofire or beacon paths.

Again, some modders have taken very creative steps when altering the base game, so there's quite a lot of content out there while we wait for FTL2.

Of course, screenshots and cketches are allowed, you might have some restrictions using private messages or other stuff, it's explained here.
