SUGGESTION: Make enemies unable to jump if engines are down.

To be honest, I'm not sure why this wasn't a feature already. If we can't jump to FTL when our engines are disabled, why should the enemy be allowed to get away if their engines are disabled?

That feature has been in the game as long as I can remember. I shoot engines and cockpits all the time to keep them from jumping away.

Are you sure their engines were down (red), and not just damaged (orange)?

indeed, this is already how this works. If their engines are destroyed or the pilot is not in the pilot's station, they cannot FTL away.

Also keep in mind that you can't keep a system from being repaired 1 level - damage taken will not cancel repair progress. (The same is true for the player.)

Although I do recall someone once claiming that ion damage resets the repairs. I have never had sensors at 3 with ion weapons to check.

If I remember it right, it does, but only if the system is completely destroyed.
