Givin' her all she's got, Captain! buged?

Hello, trying for the Givin' her all she's got ach but am having tuff time of it. guide on these forums suggests its just having 4 zolton crew members powering things and have a maxed generator. but I have done that and did not unlock it.

so is it buged? or do I really need to have all that 29 power into things?

and if so for the 29 power into systems. how do I go about getting any where near the amount of scrap I would need for it? tried 2x already and came no where near close to the scrap I need.

any help? Thank you.

Make getting a teleporter and boarders ASAP your priority - boarding gets you more scrap + rewards than destroying ships, so to get maxxed out boarding is the way to go. Jump to pirate sectors wherever possible - more chance of slaver events, more chances of getting the (Mantis) crew you need for boarding.

And get a scrap recovery arm. Or two.

The main thing is to not take damage, which Zoltan ships are great at in the early sectors but SUCK at later on unless you prepared. Shields ARE important, as are engines (If you dodge half the shots, your Zoltan shield will last twice as long). And as spacecadet13 said, teleporters and 2 mantises go a LONG way, especially coupled with a (or 2!) scrap recovery arm(s).

There are two sides to the scrap coin: Getting as much as possible (via scrap recovery arms and teleporting), and keeping as much as possible (via shields and high dodge, and a cloak and/or defense drone). Find a way to not take damage and you'll be swimming in scrap in no time.
