And you just decide. "No. Not happening. This ship is not going to blow up this sector".
And you win out the fight you were in just barely, then you manage to skirt around fights until you limp into a store...
And go on, 4 sectors later, to clear the game on normal.
Best. Feeling. Ever.

Best is when your ship is at 1 HP, and is on fire/attacked by boarders, and you prevail one pixel away from total annihilation.
Was fighting Flagship, cockpit knocked out, drones offline, 1 HP, 2 engis frantically trying to repair cockpit, flagship fires its 3x missile, cockpit gets repaired, and DODGE! DODGE! DODGE!
