Only the 3rd time i've hit S8 so far, can someone tell me what i should be doing node-wise here. The 1st time I made it once i had beaten the flagship at the first stage all the repair nodes were gone, is there a way to keep them alive, should i be going out my way to protect the red flashing ones, should i go full steam ahead for the flagship or try and protect a circle round the base
Can someone give me a quick guide on how to approach this?

The flashing nodes are essentually the sector 8 equivalent of the rebel fleet. As far as I know you can't do anything about them, you just have to avoid them. It is unfortunate that they can take over repair nodes, I personally just assume that I won't be able to repair my hull between boss stages, and play it like that. If it happens that I can, that's an added bonus.

Aah, cheers.
