Anyway, dude! Looking pretty sweet! :D I think you should totally animate the weapon! ...well, unless you have rooms on top of it, of course. >_> Have you thought about the room layout yet? I'd understand if you didn't, but yeah! Try to design it alongside the hull!

Yeah, that one! Looks kinda cool, but I don't know. I liked how old sets tended to reuse existing pieces in creative ways to make new shapes. When they used to release a couple new pieces per cycle it was alright, but since they turned the light-grey and dark-grey pieces more blueish, they started creating too many too-specific pieces in my opinion. o_o I mean, it felt to me as if LEGO gave up on trying to create new things with the same pieces. --hold on this is so off-topic. backflipping jesus, I'm sorry!!!

Been working on a little weapons package, which contains (as of yet) way too many mildly OP 4-power weapons and way too few 2/3-power weapons. My creativity can only be stretched so far, so I'm taking requests: name any kind of weapon, and I'll try to make it happen.


(Planning on modifying the sprites so they don't all use the same blocky weapon base)

Not claiming for copy or anything. Seriously do not mind. Kind of more interested if my work inspired yours much like how FoF inspired me to do the AC's and stuff.
Those look awesome btw. However the 4th weapon looks interesting but may need some improvements while maintaining it's exotic look... mind telling me what it is?

I will admit I stole your color palette and the base image from that cannon from get ballistic, as they seemed a perfect fit to jump off of, but then I got lazy in my process and being a mod that I haven't released (and won't for a while yet) I just kept the base the same. But, I didn't know about the second weapon you've got there. I just grabbed some images from Fallout and went with it (Gauss Rifle, YCS/186)

From left to right we've got:
Spaceguard (Not-so-vaguely based on the Stonehenge turrets from a certain old air combat game)
Gauss Cannon
Adv. Gauss Cannon
Plasma Caster (The problem with this one is that it's just big and bulky. It needs to be a bit smaller while maintaining the same look)
Tesla Cannon (Somehow this became hilariously overpowered, I'm still trying to nerf it to oblivion as when I tested it, it just ate the flagship's shields and left them deader than dead)
Guisarme Beam
Bolt Cannon Mk I
Bolt Cannon Mk II ("And having a loaded bolter never hurt, either...")

Also, another little part of this weapon pack:

If your taking suggestions, I'd like to see an ion beam of some sort (if that's not what the Tesla Cannon is). Unfortunately it would probably wind up being another 4 power weapon since it drops shield so easily, unless you add a value like <speed>100</speed>.

Looking better, do you have any idea what kind of strategy it's going to have? That front bit looks like it might be a nice home for some kind of bomb launcher artillery.

It will probably be similar to the Partisan Beam I added, except on steroids. I'll look into it. Feel free to make any other suggestions, and I'll give it a go. In regards to the Tesla Cannon, I'd say it'd be considerably different. The TC is a beam for the purpose of having a projectile that travels instantly, but it's closer to a tesla coil than it is an ion beam.

The version you've embedded isn't my latest version. That can be found here. Still haven't figured out what to do with the back yet, and I still want to make changes to the engines (yes, they're still not done).

It's a missile-based ship, like the Rock A, except not trash. Despite missiles being renowned as one of the lesser classes of weapons, I still have lots of respect for them and their ability to completely ignore shields. So I wanted to make a mod that used missile mechanics. The artillery cannon at the front shoots a 4-damage missile every 12 seconds (when fully upgraded), which doesn't consume any ammo (artilleries actually can't consume ammo, they just break if you try to make them consume missiles). I'm thinking of giving it two Stealth Missile launchers from CE, which bypass level 1 defense drones, and two other guns. Just...just for symmetry, honestly. I was thinking Basic Lasers, but plenty of other people have filled empty weapon slots with Basic Lasers. But twin Heavy Lasers or twin Dual Lasers are too powerful. I was thinking maybe some custom Hull Lasers, which keep the 2x-damage on empty rooms effect, but each of which only fire one shot (so it's like a Basic Laser with extra hull-bust effects). I was also thinking maybe give it twin quick-firing weak missile launchers, like super-fast Letos, or a special version of the Swarm Missiles which reaches its full charge in 12 seconds instead of 18 seconds.

This is about to be the most ridiculously overpowered thing ever, the Corseque Beam.

(In other words, that Ion Beam looks super delicious, as do some of your smaller guns. Smaller guns have always been my weakness...)
