Start with the basic Kestrel ship, and immediately rename the ship to "Serenity" and the three crew members to "Mal", "Zoe", and "Wash"?

Oh, and Wash always gets the pilot seat, of course.

Before AE, I tried to get a ship with all of the Serenity crew on it but was thwarted when I found I couldn't rename non-starting crew.

I haven't bothered since.

I only named my ship and crew until I beat the game with that ship. Never went with a Firefly theme actually.
