Finally reached my long term goal of beating the game with all ships on hard advanced edition
No save game hacking. just a lot of tries, lot of time and lot of patience and love from rngesus
I used a bit of mspaint on one of the pics so I dont have to post 10 different pictures of the rollover texts telling I achieved the victory on hard on each ship. (click for bigger picture)
Often, the wins were not so high scoring and sometimes I got highish score but lost to the boss... so only 4 out of 5 top scores are actually wins. I never tried to grind to get very high score though.
I just got this too! Very satisfying. Predictably, I had a hard time with Stealth B, Fed C and Slug B... but had a surprising hard time with Engi A and Rock A.
Kind sad the challenge is all over. I've got a few achievements left I havn't unlocked on 'hard' yet, but I don't think I can be bothered... they were annoying enough to unlock on normal.
I think out of all the games about 300 attempts was with simo-h. That ship was a real struggle and it took several months for me to beat the game with that one.
I would love to do the same. I'm just hoping I'm good enough at the game!
So far I have one hard mode win with The Kestrel. So only 27 more ships to go.
Must be a great feeling to have got victories with every ship on hard. I've only done it on normal mode and I still felt great! You can legitimately say you've beaten the game on the hardest difficulty. Great stuff!
Wow nice work. I still haven't beat the game on hard with Engi A, Federation B, Zoltan C, Rock A and Slug B. Interestingly enough I didn't had so much troubles with Stealth C and Federation C. It costs me may be 15-20 tries with Stealth C and not more than 5 with Federation C. I had big luck may be. Now I'm trying to beat it again with Federation C, but I can't reach even sector 6.
