Hi again

to further my previous post, now I found an automated turret event, but the ship is a neutral rigger

I am still using 1.245

edit: I think I will just update, hope it does not screw my current save :)

Thanks for these reports, should all be fixed now.

CE Update 1.247
- Some missing combat aug options added
- Stealing supplies from civilians aided by Rebels now counts as an act of piracy
- Salvaging civilian supplies from Rebel aid ships can have more results now
- "Care to take up a bit of mercenary work?"-event has some more jobs available now
- Non-nebula slug events will allow to use the autonomous ASB correctly now
- Any ammo based weapon allows to engineer an Ammo Manufacturer now
- Auto-Freighter weapon mounts fixed
- Some small fixes
- Some typos fixed

CE Infinite 1.247
- Changes of CE 1.247 imported
- Some bad Engi ship IDs purged
- A bunch of bad Auto Construction ship and station IDs purged
- Backup Battery can now be upgraded to level 3

CE Endless Loot 1.247 for CE and CE Endless Loot 1.247 for CE Infinite
- Changes of CE 1.247 imported

CE Infinite:
Don't know if bug or just a random possibility but I encountered a ship at a distress signal that needed my help with fuel. Now I'd understand if it was a civilian needing fuel, but this ship in particular was a Rebel Rigger. With Rebel colours, crew of Humans and two defense drones (the standard, bad ship ID here's a placeholder vessel), etc.

So yeah I don't know if the Rebels were seriously asking me for help or that was meant to be something like a Federation ship needing fuel.

EDIT: I also encountered a Rebel Rigger with the same loadout and colours in a Quarantine Sector. Although this time it had a mixed crew of Humans and Zoltan. The problem was that it was severely underpowered for Sector 5. Ships with 1 layer of shields shouldn't be showing up.

What exactly does the BRUTAL extension do in endless loot (for standard)? I've gotten it a few times now and the stats look the same as original or at least to too too brutal?

...aaaaand looks like I'm correct. Ship with 26 power bars (1 over the in-game limit) and level 3 battery crashes inside of ion storms when the battery is activated.

So 31 bars is safe, 32 crashes the game.
Adding Zoltans to 31 power bars also causes crashes.

So a few prefixes simply do a lot of small things and therefore the text would get too if the detailed postfix gets attached to the weapon description. Sometimes I also liked to keep things vague or thought the details are not that important. "Brutal" fell into the first category. Here is what it actually does:
Brutal: cooldown x0.90, breach chance +1, crew damage +1, stun chance +1

And in case you wonder:
Weaksauce: cooldown x1.10, breach chance -1, crew damage -1, stun chance -1
Substandard: cooldown x1.1; projectile/beam speed x0.9; breach chance -1; fire chance -1, stun chance -1
Surplus: cooldown x1.2; projectile/beam speed x0.8; breach chance -3; fire chance -3, stun chance -3
Quality: cooldown x0.9; projectile/beam speed x1.1
Custom: cooldown x0.8; projectile/beam speed x1.2; breach chance +1; fire chance +1, stun chance +1
Vintage: cooldown x1.1; projectile/beam speed x0.9; breach chance -1; fire chance -1, rarity +2; price x1.5
Antique: cooldown x1.4; projectile/beam speed x0.7; breach chance -3; fire chance -3, rarity +4; price x2
Swag: rarity +4; price x1.5
Second Hand: price x0.75

I haven't tested this yet, but I suspect 25 reactor + 4 battery + 3+ zoltans will also crash the game. And that's possible without mods.

Solution, talk to the devs?

But in the meantime, consider an remove-all-ion-storms mod.

Zoltans do not count as reactor power. Therefore, they do not add to the max reactor power. Therefore they do not cause a crash when used with the battery. At least from my testing... :?

What? Where's the fun in not having ion storms??? I don't want a 3rd battery bar THAT badly.

Strange. It crashed to desktop upon entering ion storm, every attempt, for me.
