Odd special dialogs [Spoiler]

I know there are a lot of extra dialog options to be discovered by having certain gear/crew/augs. This is the first time I've seen a dialog let me be a total douche.

You find a severely damaged ship floating among debris. The crew hails you, "I can't believe that cheap bastard sent someone after us! I thought we would freeze to death. If you help us complete the delivery, we'll share the reward and join your crew."

1. Promise to deliver the cargo and ask if any would be interested in joining your crew.
2. Take the cargo but drop them off at a nearby station.
3. (Teleporter) Beam the cargo aboard and leave them to their fate.

Usually the blue options yield better rewards, but I can't see how taking the cargo with the teleporter is better than taking the cargo AND the crew with option 1. :I It almost makes me think option 1 is a trap.

The blue option when you have the anti-bio beam and you find the giant spiders event is quite funny and very odd. I wish your weapons had more blue options associated with them.
