Bug or cheap difficulty spike?

Post by quxudica »

Was fighting the motherships second phase using a boarding set up and I noticed that, even though I had all its weapons and its drone control destroyed, yet all of its drones were still attacking me. Is its drone control supposed to be untethered to the actual system? If so that's a bit cheap.

Well, that ship did just survive and repaired itself to full health after you blew it up....so I guess some leeway is allowed here.

Form 1 doesn't have any special ability though. Totally toothless after you take down all its artillery. Form 2 and 3 has their own "cheat"s.

It's the cheap-ass superweapon. Even if you've pounded the drone control to snot, it only disables "normal" drones, not the huge droneswarm that launches after it says "Power surge detected!"

Really, your best hope is to cloak when it warns you of the power surge. Failing that, all power to the engines and have an ace pilot at the stick. Or, preferably, both.
Frustrated by random things beyond your control killing you?

Maxim 31: only cheaters prosper.
