Thanks for reporting.

The beta versions of FTL (1.5.12 / 1.5.13) each save with slightly different file formats, compared to the last stable version (1.5.10).

Teaching the editor how to read the new dialects is on my todo list.

The latter beta's first byte (9) happens to also be the magic number I had been using to identify ae_prof.

So when's the new version gonna be coming out? (approximately)
Also, since it's not working, can I edit crew to be Lanius? Or not?
Because I'd really like to play on an All Lanius Ship.
If not, then I'll stick with my Boss Laser, Boss Beam, Boss Missile and PDS SHOT

Handling the new formats is my new priority, and I hope to get things working again this week.
I had been working on systems editing, but that'll be pushed back.

In v23, you can change the race of any crew member, for saved games produced by FTL 1.5.4-1.5.10.
In v22, you could edit a store to sell you Lanius.
(The list calls them "anaerobic".)

Hi I i'm a avid user of the editor and i love it load. Unfortunately though 'continue' ave files have recently become uneditable. I believe it happened after a recent small update it took only a few seconds but its after that update i believe the files became uneditable my ftl is now version '1.5.13'. So here is the error that occured when i tried to open up the save. Thanks for your time and i hope you can get it fixed keep up the good work. :D

Anyone with FTL 1.5.13 mind sending me a saved game paused while lockdown crystals are coating a room?
And a screenshot.

I wanna make sure I get that right.

Same thing happened to me. I think the update might have changed the format, since I was able to edit a saved game from before the update but not ones from after it.

Guys, look at the last page for the new format. He says he'll get it fixed within the week, if you're too incompetent enough to go back a page.
