Well as soon as I picked up the game, I immediately started playing on Normal.
It's like an instinct I guess, any games I play I immediately go for the hardest, or one of the harder difficulties.
So I've been playing on Normal for about ~12 hours now. I've made it to the last sector once, and am fairly comfortable with the game. I haven't even tried Easy, not once.
Most new games I start now, I only occasionally make it to or past sector 5. But I enjoy challenging myself.
My question is; should I try Easy for any reason, or just stay on Normal?
I mean if I'm getting comfortable enough with normal, but it's still posing quite a challenge, will Easy just throw me
off, or will it make me a better player?
I noticed if there was one reason to play on Easy, it would be to get the second Federation ship, by defeating the boss.
Also what kinds of things does Easy affect anyways?
Will it make the rebel fleet chasing you slower? This might help as I more thoroughly learn the ins and outs of the game.

I know that scrap generation is higher in easy (as in you get more for killing ships and from random events) and i believe that the enemies get slightly less points to generate their weapons and systems etc.vince0018 wrote: Also what kinds of things does Easy affect anyways?

Nothing wrong with starting on easy, but if you've been playing normal and getting used to it, I'd say you might as well stick with it.
