Is it just me, or is the Rock Cruiser A really underpowered compared to other typ A ships. I have to spend half of my scrap only to buy additional missiles. It would be nice for it to have a Havy Laser Mark I instead of the Hull Missile Mark I.

I don't try to make all ships equally powerful. Also: If you take missile rich surrenders and immobilize enemies you can have more than enough ammo IMO. There is a lot of things that could be changed in the game to make it more nice, aka more convenient or outright easier. But I don't believe that would make the game any more interesting. Rock A poses a certain challenge and playing it revolves around passing this challenge.

Question I think may of been in the thread somewhere, but I can't find it.
Is the crew skin replacement mod individual from Captains Edition now? I want to use it as a base for making my own crew skins, as I don't know the documentation of the files and how they work.
I've tried playing around with whats in the standard Captains Edition, but gotten nowhere.

CEs crew skins are not available individually. If you want to get behind how they work: The actual crew sheet image files are in img/people. Check the modded sheets and the original ones to see how layers are structured. In the xml files, you can find the crew blueprints in blueprints.xml.append (the Lanius one is in dlcBlueprints.xml.append I think). These are what controls the color shades of the different layers. Further you might be interested in checking out Gencools crew variations mod as a separate reference.

I am having a problem with mod installation, the Endless loot addon wont patch in. All other mods load and work correctly, but when I try to install this mod it won't patch. It says installing mod "CE Endless Loot Addon for CE Infinite 0.98i beta.ftl..." and seems to pause. It will not load further and i have to open the task manager to close it out. This is my mod order:

FTL Captains Edition 1.208c
CE Infinite Addon 0.98i
EL Texture Pack 0.98
CE Endless Loot Addon for CE Infinite 0.98i beta


Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this sort of thing, i just registered.

EDIT: Also using sliptream 1.4 manager.

How difficult would be to program the EL Texture Pack as optional for EL? Like EL checking to see if the EL Texture Pack was installed, and then using the variety, and if it checks and doesn't find the EL Texture pack installed, it works like it did previous to the variety being included?

sleeper service, what im saying is i don't get the enemy hull design, the rooms are there, but the hull of the ship is not. :( all the playable ships work fine for me, but the hull and shields are just.... blank. :(

Sorry for posting again, but another question.
If a person wanted to remove the system upgrade and purchase cost increase in Captains Edition Infinite, how would they go about doing that?
