I like FTL and I love the new FREE DLC update, but there are some points that I'd like to be changed:

The Customize Crew option:
I like it, but can the engi players get different colors too ?(I already have ideas for that, going to upload images later) and can we please have the old Slug/Rockman/Mantis colors selectable ? The old mantis color is missing, the slug one looks a bit different and I'm not sure if the rockman one changed.

The enemy humans don't look different, but all other enemy npcs do.

Old Graphics option:
Some weapon graphics got changed. Maybe allow the players to select if they want to use "old graphics"(but not for the advanced edition, because the new graphics are part of the advanced edition).

New way to unlock Layout C
Allow the player to unlock layout c by getting all 3 archievements for that ship ? I don't know why this wasn't added, but I'd like to have this because it can be hard to reach sector 8 with some ships.

Layout C for Crystal and Lanius Cruiser
They are the only ships that don't have a Layout C option, so I thought about some ideas for a Layout C Ship:
Crystal C

Crew:
2 Crystal
2 Zoltan
This ship doesn't have that much reactor power because there are 2 Zoltans in the starting crew.

Lanius C

I'm probably going to change this one and create a custom palette for it(It's currently only a recolor of the Type B). This Ship starts with 3 Lanius and a Medbay instead of a clone bay.

What do you think about the ideas ?

That crystal ship looks cool.

If you can't get to sector 8 with the A or B ships, you're probably not going to do so hot with the C ships. They're not easier, just different. And frequently they're actually harder to master.

I can get to sector 8 with most ships, but some of the Type B ones are strange:

Stealth Cruiser Type B
DA SR 12
This ship is very powerful, but you need some luck with weapons and get the shield early on.

Engi Cruiser Type B
The Vortex
This ship needs a lot of luck, so you get more crew, better weapons, better EVERYTHING...

FTL's update added other ways of unlocking ships, and I think that this would be a nice reward for getting all 3 archievements(so they are woth getting, other than the reason to get all of the archievements).
