FTL Art Style?

Post by LawGiver »

I have always been told that FTL has a type of pixel are, bu now that I am trying to create my own hull, it would be useful to know exactly what type of pixel are FTL has (16-bit, 32-bit etc.). I am using GIMP if it matters.

32-bit PNG with transparency. Other types tend to result in "black box" errors or invisible items.

Hmmm, so I made GIMP into it's 32-bit style, but it seems way too small to create a ship. Am I doing something wrong?

Bit depth and image size have nothing to do with each other.

Ships should be less than 700 pixels (about) wide and less than 450 pixels (about) high. The squares your crew stands in are 35x35 pixels and rooms vary from 35x35 to 70x70.
