Automated drones with no shields in an asteroid

[Rant] You jumped into a beacon where there is an asteroid belt, and there is a auto drone with no shields. I bet most of you have came across this before but why would the rebels put a auto drone with no shields at an asteroid belt? It is so silly, that it would die off the moment it gets there. You need to have proper shields in order to thrive in it. [/rant]

Well, what happened was, it was sent as an Auto-Assault, but it got hit by asteroids and lost its shield system. And a big chunk of its hull where the shield system had been. It ended up repairing itself up into the Auto-Scout you see before you.

Poor thing.

Also, the Rebels are idiots. That's how they almost won the war.
