I am new modding and have made a ship I was thinking about uploading, but I am unsure where to ask about how I can post it and how to make links. I also do not know how to get a download set up on dropbox. What should I do?

Post it in the Working Mods forum if it works.

Click here to learn how to use dropbox (and to be honest, learn how to get answers to most if not all of your questions)

Post pictures once you are certain it works and have uploaded it.

Did you make them in "enemy ship format" in Superluminal?

At your PM Inbox, note the checkboxes beside each message.
Tick a few. Then at the bottom, there's a dropdown list of actions to take on "marked" messages.
Choose "Delete marked" and click Go.

My player ships?

Yes, I even made copies of each image and rotated those instead of the originals.

Do you need a shield system for the zoltan shields to work? I've tried to add them to my ship but they don't appear.

You don't, I usually have no visible shields when I have a Zoltan shield on a shieldless ship.

I just made a custom ship with custom interior images for a few rooms, but for some reason when the system in said room is online, the room goes way darker than normal. Am I missing something?

Sounds like you've missed the glow images. In Superluminal, right click on the dark room and select "Set Glow Images...". You need to setup all three (one for cloaking) in order to fix this.
