Happy moments in FTL

I'll start.

I was just fighting an auto-scout, I had 2 shields. It fired an ion blast and a heavy laser, they both hit at the same time but I only lost 1 shield bar.

Beating the boss for the first time.

Being gifted a Weapon Preigniter in the first sector.

Finding a Burst Laser Mk II just floating in space.

Unlocking the Crystal Cruiser after dozens of missions of futility.

Being down to 1 or 2 HP, having to make multiple jumps with no Long Range Sensors, and surviving to finally find a store and get repaired.

Not being able to acquire a Defense Drone Mk I the whole game, and finding the sector 8 store and buying a Defense Drone Mk II. OK, I would have been happier with a Mk I, but going to battle the boss, I figure II > 0.

Surviving something like 8 jumps with 1 hull point before I could find a store.

Finding the Glaive beam for sale in a regular store for the first time.

Fought a rock scout and only one hull damage was negated throughout the fight.

Being gifted a Weapon Preigniter in the first sector.

Try first surrender from the first fight in your first flight of the Nesasio.

Thought to myself "For once, I'm going to play to get an achievement. Let's aim for the Kestrel Plan B". In one try I completed the game for the first time, got the unlock and the Osprey!

Getting a fire bomb whilst already cackling at the fun I'd had with the fire beam. I had 27 missiles in stock. There was fire.

There was also the time with the two boarding drones...well, nearly. I died before I had enough drone system levels :-(

When I looked at the forums for the first time and saw all the posts about the Crystal Ship being too rare.
It was the fourth or fifth or so ship I unlocked!

I had no idea that it was that hard for people to get, and felt like I was lucky for once.

For me it has to be livestreaming the game. FTL is single player, but with Twitch.tv you can have the feedback and participation of others. Everything about the game becomes better in company, esp. when the game decides to become trolly. Esp. esp. when it suddenly starts to rain good luck on you.

Just having some company to chat with and share fails makes it awesome.
