Minor problem using number keys for weapons

Loving this game! Thank you! It's everything that was promised and more. An excellent mix of tactics, action and...oh, wait, time to launch the Kestrel XII, I got blown up again

I use the number keys to fire my weapons (unless I'm drinking coffee) and have noticed that the events are also activated by the number keys - one popped up and immediately disappeared as I happened to type "2" at the time as well. I can imagine this doesn't happen very often but is worth looking at.

I too have found this. I end up letting a vessel surrender when I do not want them too.

Maybe answers should be F1, F2, F3, F4 etc

You can turn it off in the options menu. The dialog choices. Not the weapon keys.

Thanks for the helpful replies - I had just noticed this myself! Finally got a decent ship and as fas as sector seven, then the big boys turned up. Oh well, I must be having fun!
