Engi Medi-Bot Dispersal question

Does anyone know if this augment is improved by upgrading your medbay? I've always had trouble telling and haven't managed to just test it properly. EG, medbay at max level heals 3x faster, do you heal 3x faster outside medbay too or is it a flat rate?

yes, the healing outside will be improved too. but it will not be the same as inside the medbay.

Actually I believe that the healing you get in other rooms is the same regardless of the power of the medbay. (unless matt changed it)

What IS the ratio? Like, Medibots heal at x0.25 speed of rank 1 medbay? And could that possibly be included in the description? Eg, 'Heals crewmembers outside medbay at rate of x hp/sec (or 1 hp every x seconds)', or else 'at x fraction of medbay healing' if it's linked to the power of the medbay.

I actually went to double check the code on this one. It is not effected by the power in your medbay. I think it was decided that it would just become way too powerful, essentially turning your entire ship into a medbay for just the relatively cheap cost to upgrade it to level 3.

I can see why that would be a balancing issue. All the Engi Medi-Bot Dispersal augmentation cares about is if the Medbay has at least 1 unit of power. Further bars of power only improve the healing rate of crew members in the medbay.
