I'm new to the game and the forums, so pardon me if this has been brought up before.
While playing, I was really wishing I could sell rockets and drone parts for scrap. Wouldn't have to be much, just would be nice to have that option.
Also, being able to change the colors of your hull would be nice. As much as the default ship is cool, it would be nice to have blue on the wings instead of yellow. Or more options for the crew besides the default male and female.
The devs have responded to this request in the past with a wholehearted "no." Missiles and drone parts are specifically barred from being sold in stores and that will never be added. Sell all you can whenever you happen across the random trader and that's the best you can do.
As to the ship hull colors, that's not changeable in game (an again I doubt it ever will be) but it would be a very easy mod. Just unpack the game files, find the ship graphic, modify it to look the way you want, and then repack the game files or make it into a mod to load in GMM or SlipStream. It may sound hard but once you get the process down it's quite easy and very rewarding.
However, I'd wait until you beat the game before you start modding. You run the risk of learning a spoiler about the game end, and that's something you should experience for yourself
