I wouldn't actually fight them in the MedBay until the MedBay is disabled, but if you start off in another system room, its sure to distract enough crew that they will fail to put out the fires in MedBay before it drops. At that point, shift the fight to where the fires are. No point letting them get bonus healing even if on fire, and 2 dots of MedBay does some substantial healing more than the fire will do in return.
