Here's a save file + jump map at the beginning of sector 3 (which is rebel controlled for me).

Forgot to mention that I've also posted the sector 2 video, in the same playlist:

Re: let's play the same map!
I'm stopping this challenge/test. I thought of a way to quickly test the things I was most interested to know by myself, and I can't find a way for multiple players to play the same map.
Here's what I did: I restarted this same test map from the beginning and I saved the game at certain times. Specifically, just before visiting a store, and just before the final beacon in sector 1. I then backed up my save file and replaced one beacon over and over again. I took screenshots but I don't plan to bother posting them.
Here's what I found: The game has a strange mixture of things that are generated in advance and things that are generated randomly as you play. As soon as you start the game, all the events in sector 1 are fixed. The beacon map is fixed, and most everything you can experience at each beacon is fixed, including what ships you will face, what specific trades you will be offered, etc.. At a given beacon, you will face the exact same ship every time and for non-combat events, any choices you make will have the same outcomes every time. However, there are two exceptions: I'm 90% certain that combat rewards are random every time. (I didn't take meticulous notes on battle outcomes but I'm reasonable certain I got different battle outcomes every time.) Also, the contents of shops are generated randomly the first time you visit them. I tried restoring and revisiting the same shop 6 times (for the "first time" every time), and I got 6 different shops. (On a 7th instance, when I forgot to take a screenshot, I think it was a dupe of an earlier shop, but it may have just been coincidence as there are certain things that come up more commonly.)
I repeated this experiment just before exiting sector 1. I saved the game just prior to jumping to the last beacon, and redid that beacon 5+ times, taking screenshots of the sector map and the resulting sector 2 beacon map. Again, I found a strange mixture of fixed things and random things. The event itself was of course fixed. (A trade: 2 missiles for 2 drone parts, every time.) And oddly, the sector 1 map was the same every time as well. I expected it to behave like shops, given that I was visiting it "for the first time" every time. (Also, a previous poster said he had a different sector map, but perhaps I misinterpreted that.) The sector maps arrangement of sectors, color of sectors, and 2 visible sector choices were all fixed. However, each time I warped to sector choice #1 (Mantis Controlled), the beacon map I was given was different. I didn't explore the nearby beacons in any of the 5 instances (would have taken too long). However, the position of beacons was completely different in each instance, and the events near me were also clearly different, as I sometimes had a store, sometimes had a distress beacon, and sometimes had neither.
I have not yet tried saving just before the sector 2 exit and re-running the 3rd sector choices. But the fact that sector 2 layouts are completely different is a bummer so I may not bother continuing the experiment at all.
