I've played several versions of your mod, last one being the one wih the Borg. I did not once encountered a crash. I did about 5~6 runs, mostly Romulan, I think.
The StarTrek mod is the only one applied from mods list currently.

I dont have a clue. The last time, the game crashed just when i clicked on the START button... after that, the game crashed in the 2nd shop i entered. Besides this mod, i only have a little one modyfing the pursuit fleet delay. And i dont think thats the problem.. anything else im really out of ideas.

I've downloaded the latest version.
First several runs resulted in early deaths, so didn't progress much. I did visit some stores.
On latest run with Jemhadar heavy cruiser, it crushed on the very first store I encountered.

Wat im doing is to adding side by side and testing, so i can see when the mod starts to crash. Thats the only thing i can do for now, if i cant solve it, im afraid this will be my last attempt to avoid the end of playing/modding for FTL for good.

Well, i tested the mod including all the weapons / items / augments until the Jem Haddar (not included) and i wasnt able to reproduce any crash. So, obviously, the bug must be in the Jem Haddar. If i cant find the crashes once i already include Jem haddar.. i really dunno. 2 options ->
if once i include the Jem Haddar the game doesnt crash, something weird happened, and i will change the original mod structure for the testing one that apparently is working.
If the game crashes with the Jem haddar, and i can find the problem , everything is ok. If i cant find the problem, im afraid the bug must be something related with a limit the game has to handle graphics, items, etc. I cant find another explanation.

Well. Everything was going great until i installed the last done side, the Krenim. And after 35 minutes of playing , the game crashed again in a store. And since i didnt have any crash before, and the Krenim are perfect, im afraid im not going be able to find the cause of the crashes (probably some items, augments or anything else that is causing it, but i dont have a way to find wat it is) so i guess this is my last post about this mod.
Sadly, i ma not be able to finish it with the Krenim and Hirogen. Sorry guys, im too tired of random crashes that only give me headaches. I dunno if im gonna stay on the forums for a while, but who knows, maybe when FTL 2 is out (i hope so) i will return, to see if they made a more stable and reliable game. Too bad i just bought the game 2 months ago and now im not going to play it anymore..
Or maybe i just will wait to the FTL Overdrive, that looks very promising. See u guys!.

Yes it seems the 1.0 version crashes when entering a shop so it has to be something about the changes between that and 0.9b. I've played 0.9 for hours on end with not a single problem occurring. Luckily I didn't delete the install file for that so I will continue to play 0.9 until I either get too bored of the game or someone figures out the exact problem I guess lol

I tell u , i cant find the problem. Because i suspect is something related to how the game handles graphics and weird things that are not related to the mod itself. Because if i go line by line, i cant find anything wrong in the mod. But, i think is not only the last update , i think the cardassian update is crashing as well, it looks like, everytime i add another side, weapons, etc, the possibilities of crashing raises exponentialy but for no reason at all. Since the authors of the game (Mathew) cant tell me wats wrong (even i gave him the stack error log but as i imagined, is useless), i dont have a clue and sadly i decided to stop modding / playing for FTL.
The thing is, if a store crashes, the only cause should be: weapon / augment / drone. I cant see any weapon or augmentation or drone that is badly coded in the mod, all the references, values and so on are perfect, so thats the reason im really lost. Thx for the answer anyways, i am doing my last tests, but im afraid they will be the last..
As far as i tested, i found starfleet, klingon, romulan, species8472, cardassian and jem haddar weapons on the shops, but still no Borg weapons. This is suspicious, maybe the crashes are produced by the borg weapons, weird but i will keep testing..

Well, I decided to have a look at your files to see if I can see anything wrong.
Immediately I notice several of your weapons have <rarity> value as 6, 8 etc.
Stock game only has 1-5 for shop rarity and 0 for doesnt-appear-in-shops. Nothing in stock game has rarity value greater than 5. Perhaps this is causing it? An out-of-range value is a likely thing to cause a crash.
Also, ingame <bp> value doesn't seem to be higher than 10 in any blueprint, so you might want to make sure yours are 10 or lower in all cases.
I'll keep looking through the blueprint to see if I spot anything else.
a couple other errors:
text says 15%, value is 0.2
same for shield recharge, text says 35%, value is 0.5
then you also have a random right before the "drone_speed" augment, not sure if that would be messing anything up or not but it shouldn't be there

Weapons are not the problem, and rarity higher than 5 works perfectly fine, i checked a lot of times by now lol (trust me lol i spent a lot of hours trying to play with the rarity thing, since i thought that was the problem). I will tell u later wat was the problem, after i definitely test my suspects. Anyways, i changed days ago the rarity to lower than 6, and the game was crashing anyways.
The "bp" value yes, ive seen values of 12, 14 and 16 a lot of times, thats not the problem, in fact i never touched that, i always pick templates but since that variable is useless, i never touch it. I hope one day we can use that variable for something

As far as i know the auto-cooldown and shield-recharge augmentations doesnt have exact values. If u look at the original augmentation code u will see it says less than the value itself. So i didnt know if this is made on purpose, so i just did it in the same way. But honestly, i didnt test it in the proper way, i dont know how to difference between 25 and 30.. anyways, of course that is not the cause of the crashes.
The random "<--->" as far as i know is the same as "--->", it is just the end of the commentary lines. In notepad++ (for example) u can see it clearly since its colored with different colors.
Those gibs velocity values are the old ones, the ones i picked from the original game, they work the same as writing "0,3" instead, but anyways, i changed that long time ago.
Now, my suspicions are that u CANT make the augmentations to have rarity = 0. They need to show up in stores, or almost some of em, or the game will crash in the store if it tries to load an augmentation. So, i changed the mechanics and now, all the augmentations are not unique , they are available on shops, but at really high costs. Since i did this, the game doesnt seem to crash anymore. Now, i really dont have any idea why this issue could happen, maybe its only happening in a specific augmentation, i really dunno. But once i finish a few more test i will post the results.
