Sandbox mode

Hi guys,

Loving FTL. Money well spent. Reminds me of my commodore Amiga in the early 90s when games were more about gameplay and less about astronomical budgets and infinite everything

I do long for a sandbox mode. Id like to be able to take as long as I like in one sector instead of being pushed along by the Rebels. Also maybe the chance to start with 250 scrap and continuing off from where you were killed. I know this goes against realism but the extra scrap doesn't. I mean why oh why do they send such a piddly non upgraded ship on the most important of tasks :]

As said, just a sandbox mode for those of us who are into not wanting the ultimate challenge and more enjoy the game in an Elite fashion
