Finally, a day off!
I've been in a music mood today for some reason, which almost never happens. Composed a little something unrelated to FTL earlier, but the meat of this post is the new Incursor track.

I also started in on the Hangar GUI, but that one will take a while. Nothing constructive to show just yet.
I'm debating whether to replace the "Federation" ships being worked on with Rebel ones, or just do my own thing. I have decided that both the Red Tail and the Destroyer I created for T3 will be playable in the conversion, but my eventual goal is to replace as many ships as possible with entirely new designs.
...I'm probably setting myself up for failure here. Ah well. Enjoy the music.

Possible boss theme, but also maybe Rebel controled, or Slug nebula sector? The beginning kinda fits the Slugs, but overall it seems like a fitting Rebel theme. Though it's up to you.
And i think you have a winner for the victory credits roll as well.

You know, I love that you've actually dropped the hours to create custom compositions. Your music actually fits the FTL style amazingly well.
For me personally, I like my battle music to be aggressive, martial, pounding - but as we've seen so far, far short of everyone shares that.
Have you scoped your first release?

I like blending orchestral and synth stuff, and I'm very fond of artists like Mark Petrie, Hans Zimmer, and Clint Mansell, so my scores aim more for the "epic build-up / finale" feel. That said, the Nebula sectors are quieter and more introspective so I'm not certain how well Incursion will mesh with FTL-gameplay in practice. First release will be the Archon, once I can be arsed to getting it cleaned up and ready to go. Needs weaponry, and I need more time off (probably the 26th, provided I don't get anything for Christmas that demands to eat my soul).

I love the Hans Zimmer and John Williams school of music - I'd have no problem looping the Terminator theme throughout every sector lol.

I'm actually not sure what to do with the nebula sectors in Sonata, they're pretty sparse right now. I might have to invent a few new types of astronomical phenomena; there's a lot of potential for playing around with the nebula/asteroid anims.
I want Far Cry 3. If I get that, I'm out of the picture lol. Would be nice to throw out Sonata 7.1 before someone comes along with a bigger mod tho
