Thanks Icepick - yes I have tried a number of combinations but get the same results as the previous poster with the screenshots just above.

I have a Samsung N140 Netbook with 1 gig of Ram
Usual resolution is 1024 x 600 and if the game can be run in that resolution, that would be great.

Tried using the beta patch, altering settings in the .ini file and changing my desktop resolutions. When I bought the game, I did see that it was possible to run in my normal resolution though not officially supported.

In any case, I can run the game on my dektop but I do think this type of game feels right at home on a netbook/tablet environment.

If the developers can get it to work at this resolution it would make a number of people happy and help them for future games. Then again they may have other priorities...we will see

I would also like to vest my interest for a version that will work on a netbook screen.....I think this would be the perfect game for a samsung NC10 but I'm not going to purchase it unless I know it will work.....I'd imagine a lot of other netbook users would be thinking the same as well.

Add my vote to adding netbook compatibility as an option, the sooner the better. This game was just made to be played on a netbook!

The game requires 1280x720. It was designed that way.

Hi all, sorry for bad English, I'm Italian boy.

I found a good program that can help us to play FTL: http://ynea.futureware.at/cgi-bin/infinite_screen.pl

With Infinite Screen you can scroll the view, it's very useful on netbook.

For FTL i set Infinite Screen in this way:
1 - download the program: http://ynea.futureware.at/software/Infi ... _v1.63.exe
2 - start them as administrator
3 - Go in "special models" tab, set to "Finite" (that for scroll into the game without exit from the edge of the game's window... very annoying)
4 - Return to Main tab and change the first "activation keys" to "no keys", to do that simple double click on it and, instead of click any keys, click on DEL to set "no keys" (that permit to scroll in the game's windows like navigation of RTS's map)

That it's, try and play (and forgive my bad English).

Love from Italy <3

(works well on Intel GMA 3150).

No. Currently, no plans have been announced to support smaller resolutions.

For forcing my netbook into non-standard resolutions, I have had good success with the program "astray plus". Sometimes text can be hard to read by scrunching the res, but just experiment.
