Is it warm in here ?

How do I get the "Is it warm in here ?" achievement on a rock cruiser ? I tried killing enemy crew members in burning rooms but that doesn't seem to do it. What are the actual requirements ? The "Have your crew kill a burning enemy on their ship while using the Rock Cruiser" seems vague.

I think you need to make a killing blow by your boarding party, not by the fire itself.

I couldn't make this achievement for quite a long time, because enemy crew would always retreat to another room, free from fire. What finally worked was a fire bomb and good timing.

Yeah it's really annoying when they do that. I found that a good strategy to force them to fight in a burning room is to move your crew into a fire-free room such that the enemy crew has to walk through the burning room to get to you, then as they are walking through it you move your invaders back into the burning room. It seems complicated but it's actually really easy and quite effective. I still can't get the achievement though :/ Rock cruiser B is apparently the best ship to look for the secret sector.

Enemies typically run away if they are in a room with fire though, even if there is no medbay.

For a guaranteed kill in fire, you need to use either the sealed weapons room on the flagship, or perhaps the secret race's special ability. If you find fire bombs though, you may be able to just slowly set an entire ship on fire so the enemy won't have anywhere else to run to. I don't even remember how I got the achievement for me, all I remember is that it happened after I gave up actively trying to, lol

Took me quite a while to get this one. Best bet if you don't want to try to get it on the flag ship with its unconnected rooms is to look for the small slug ships.

They only have 3 connected rooms, so firebomb/beam one of the rooms if you have it (or get lucky with some missiles). Once a room is on fire send in the rocks and just have them chill in the fire. Crew comes in, ya get em low and they run out as normal, now its just a waiting game.

Sooner or later that fires going to spread (if you have fire weapons you can try to light a second room up but at this point the enemy crew is at low health so you don't want to hit there compartment) so be ready. Play footsie with the door running in almost to the point of being in the room then back into the inflamed compartments, and back in. Move in with the fire and give em the rock. Boom B-Type Rock Cruiser is unlocked in as low as sector one or two.

I finally managed it ! I dedicated my whole run towards this achievement, at the end I had fire beam, small bomb, healing bomb, and two rock invaders with maxed fighting skill. Got pretty lucky with the equipment in the shops. I also had probably the easiest boss fight in my entire career. If you manage to kill the entire crew in the first encounter with the boss the rest becomes a joke. During the second encounter which I'm always scared the most of I didn't take a single hull damage.
