Seriously, this is exactly what the Federation would do as well if something went horribly wrong with a weapons test... except there would probably be less shooting at scavengers and more warnings, she thought to herself.

"That weapon though... that was no ASB I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of ASBs in action" Eden commented "But then again, the Rebels do have the better starship tech. Those automated ships for example..."

"Well, I'm not detecting anything at this beacon. I'll go check on WOL"

Jake walked down to the medbay, to check on WOL.

Where's @Chickengames? (Kyrie) He/She hasn't posted in a while!

WOL was walking down a large hall. Just as he was about to move on to the next room, the door opened, on the other side was Jake. WOL spoke first, "Ah, it's you. Don't mind me, I'm just taking a walk." Said WOL. "So, have any new developments surfaced recently when I was offline?" WOL inquired.

Once Jake was done explaining everything that had transpired, he noticed a data packet sent from the Pelican. He opened it up. "Listen WOL, I got some data to analyze. You mind? I'm gonna be quite busy."

"I saw the Chain Vulcan too" Lux remarked with awe in her tone. "That thing was sooo cool! If we had one of those on every ship, the war would be over! All those lasers... and it only gets faster as it fires"
Eden scoffed at the idea as she looked at the drone. "Any idea what it was carrying?"
"Not a clue. I'm sending the pictures and scans to Jake to see if that fancy starship can analyse it" Lux explained "But there are some anomalous graviton readings."

Did you also send me scans of the weapon? I guess so.

Jake analyzed the data, nothing too special about the salvage drone. It was just picking up valuable pieces from the wreck, long after the accident happened.

They probably just wanted to gather up all 'their precious tech before the damn Feds got to it, but ha! Screw 'em! Jake thought. However, one thing was curious... if there was a breech of containment, wouldn't a Black Hole just balloon outward, like the one at the Pirate Station? Where did the Black Hole go... Jake thought, in wonder. In his brain, he filed that under "worry about later," and continued scanning.

As he scanned the weapon the drone carried, his jaw dropped. It was so... simple. Well, not really. Simple in design, not concept. The design was a strange series of coils, that generated some kind of energy field, similar to the shields on a starship. However, this energy fields was meant to bend matter, as opposed to dissipate energy. So, while Jake could not comprehend the details of the device, the overall design was simple.

He assumed that this energy field could manipulate the core, or singularity, of the Black Hole, warping and manipulating it. But one question still remained: how could a Black Hole be contained? Not very well... Jake thought, scoffing at the rebel wreck.

"So what are the results?" Lux asked "Can we put this on the side of your ship and have a gun that shoots singularities? Or should we stick to our lasers?"

Meanwhile, the crew of the Pelican were busy piecing together the salvaged wrecks of ships they had collected. "We took this drone mostly intact. I'm sure we can salvage the engines off of it" Eden ordered, moving about the cargo bay.
"Do you think the engines from a drone would be useful on a cargo vessel?" Lux asked her.
"Of course not. But these things would be great for a runabout" Eden replied.
"A runabout?" Lux queried "Let me guess, it's just one of those Gift related things?"
"You're on the right track there." Eden said "First it'll be more like a larger shuttlecraft but with more materials and firepower, it'd be like having a gunship in your cargo hold that you bring out instead of risking the hull in battle."
She patted Lux on the shoulder "And you'll be flying it"
Lux was already smiling but it got wider as she paged Jake "We should pool all of our money and materials together and get as many laser cannons as possible!"

"So what are the results?" Lux asked "Can we put this on the side of your ship and have a gun that shoots singularities? Or should we stick to our lasers?"

"Negative, Lux. The circuits in the device are completely melted. The coils have fused. This mine-as-well be scrap. Bren, I've taken all the scans I need. You seem to be our scrap and resource manager, care for a dead Black Hole weapon?" Jake said into the radio.

"Wait, Jake," Sarah's voice cut in on the radio line - though her avatar was nowhere to be seen. "We should hold onto this, and pass it off to the nearest Federation vessel. They may be able to take it back to their lab, and do whatever research they want,"

"Well, these sensors are probably better than all the sensors in the galaxy, but I see your point. The Feds would appreciate the gesture. Bren, delay that order. We'll hold onto this melted weapon. And I heard something about repurposing the salvage drone, so we'll hold onto that too. Eden, just keep all of our findings in your cargo hold, for safe keeping. Copy?"

and understand it more.

Augment Gained: Broken Black Hole Induction Weapon - The Federation wants more knowledge on Black Hole tech, so we should give this to them.

Bren nodded his head, "Lets hope we can find out what this black hole weapon does, be nice to use em against the bigots" he said as he and Gorlag worked in the weapon room

"Alright, Ruwen press that switch we told you about, we'll let you know if the power is transfering properly"

There was a hum of power and Bren smiled, "Well looks like thats all the weapon ports filled up" he said wiping his brow a bit

"Great work guys" he said to Gorlag and Ruwen

Robin Status: All 4 weapon ports filled, 1 Crystal burst mk 1, 3 Basic 1 shot lasers

Reactor power used up, med bay deactivated, engine power reduced.

"Just wish we had that right coupler...hey guys if you see a 4B2A power Coupler, could ya let us know, we need it to upgrade the reactor" He said when he got back to the cockpit

She thought about asking him if he was ready for duty, but she didn't want to put much pressure on the poor guy. From his position in the spacecraft when the Black Hole hit, he was right in the calculated line for maximum 'spagetification.' And thus, maximum damage.

"Excuse me but I believe there is an issue with your ship's medical unit"
Eden scoffed "I don't..."
There was a teleporter warning and several Slugs had beamed aboard the cargo ship while the main ship itself revealed itself from the clouds; it was designated a "Slug Pleasure Cruise" by the computers. Two smaller Slug ships were also with it. You know the ones. They seemed to have massive dishes equipped on their prows which was the source of the jamming transmissions that were disabling the fleet's medical bays and reducing engine power.

"Seriously?" Lux said, grabbing her weapons "Considering how your crew works when boarding... these intruders don't stand a chance... and they probably knew it the moment they boarded us..."

Cuts to Bren, Ruwen and Gorlag watching the carnage while eating popcorn...

"So...how stupid were they to teleport to the one ship full of people who will literally eat you alive" Bren asked

"I'd say about as dumb as the ones in the ship thinking they can defeat your boss" Gorlag said

"So this popcorn, its very tasty" Ruwen said munching on his

"Just as long as we stay away we will be fine" Bren said noticing a slug teleported in, panicking a bit

"SHIT I meant to teleport of that hellhole" he cried out, Ruwen didn't waste time gutting the weakened slug when he tried to pull a pistol on them.

"Love how you can shoot crystal, does that hurt?" Gorlag asked

"No, its like organics shedding skin, you don't really notice it. We form crystal from our metablism, using whatever nutrience we get to form new ones, the healthier the crystal, the stronger the crystals formed" he explained as he brought the dead crystal to the cargo hold to later deliver to the other ship.

Just gonna point out that while there is a boarding operation going on the Pelican, there are 3 Slug ships in active combat. Probably armed with missiles and stuff and they've disrupted engine and medical power.

"What do you mean the cargo ship is a trap? We'll just kill the escorts and..."
"Yaarrr! Come back here so I can have your liver with a side of salt and fava beans!" came the reply over the comms.
