Speed of Pursuit
Is it constant from system to system? I mean if they are 10 jumps from clearing the current system and I move to the next, does that give me more turns to explore?

No, the rebel fleet advances through each sector as you jump to it, which means you should explore as much as you can in each sector, and the rebels will have to start over in their chase for you in the next sector, no matter how far you were from them or how many beacons with their advancement you had fought against.
I always have this great idea to post about when reading a thread, but I always seem to loose the subject while writing a reply, and end up not saying anything at all. I should sleep more. Is that a cookie?
