I played game with The Engi Cruiser and i could not find to 3/4 of game store with anti ship drones or defensive drones. (
So i had to fight with only one anti ship drone. Because of this i could not even reach end of game
Why stores are so random?(they are random at map and have random goods) I really can no play differt style because i do not have equipment. It is really like dice. I have to start game and waiting if i will lucky or not.
This is part of the appeal of the roguelike; you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes this means you end up adopting a very different strategy than what you expected to, and sometimes this means you more or less get screwed, but it's just part of the challenge of the game. I've had great luck with the engi ship and nearly beaten the game with it, and I've also gotten wiped out by sector 3; you just never know.
That's hilarious! at least that's what i found when i realized what the "drone parts" were for.....>:o
lol I had an awesome set up!
-Ion weapon, with 2 accompanying lazer guns (6 weapon slots total)
-3 shields
-attack, and defense drone simaltaneously
i didn't even know that i needed to use a 'drone part' everytime i used a drone i was 6 sectors in. I'm still wondering how i made it that far...didn't know i had so many damned parts! lol!

Me:Oh 3 shields! lucky i just upgraded all of these lazer guns, and drones.

Me:That's Absurd! I just spent 60 scrap on a new drone, and made sure i connected it!

Yes,but it is very frustrating. I can not play what i want. I have to hope that i find something. It is so funny, that i founded super drones stores with my no drones ship.But this was ok, i wanted to play with heavy weapons only.
So i have to play and hope.At sector 7 i will look at my equipment and i have to decide if i am able to win the last fight or not.3h waste of time
Why i do not have good equipmet at the end?
Because did not buy wepons.I was looking and saving money for drones,that i did not find
