memory wiped... again

So I lost all my game history... again.... for the 3rd time. Always seems to be when i'm on a good run on hard mode about to finish with a new ship, go figure. Why does it keep happening? It has happened when I save and exit properly, and when I just quit by closing the game. It's a good game and all, but I mean it's a bit frustrating to have to use the editor to regain the ships again. And still lose the stats. and hell if i can remember where i was at with the current game that was lost.
Is there a patch to fix this? or is that just the way it is?
I doubt I'll bother unlocking it all if its just gonna happen again

Sounds like a problem with the computer.
Maybe you could back up your save files, just in case.
Now where are the save files? I dunno. Somewhere where you've installed FTL.

Think the save file is continue.bak or something if i recall. I looked into this last time it happened and the dev is aware of the problem but there was no fix I could find at the time and he was unaware of why it was happening. Maybe any updates on the matter, who knows

I saw your other thread over in Tech Support, but just in case: You can usually prevent this from happening by permenently running the game as an admin. If you're already doing that, and it's still happening, please let me know (techsupport@ftlgame.com)
