FTL just seems dead.
Barely anyone is playing it, we need another CE-esque mod to bring it back at this stage.

By barely anyone is playing it, what do you mean? Is there a list of global stats saying "X number of users are playing FTL right this moment on Steam?"CamRa wrote:Barely anyone is playing it, we need another CE-esque mod to bring it back at this stage.
Because FTL is also available on the iPad, on various other platforms and even can be played offline, away from the stats.
Or do you mean that the forum community seems a little stiff and you want there to be hundreds of people chatting away about FTL every hour here?

Honestly, the community is small compared to an AAA game, but remember, the game is several years old, yet it still has a constant influx of new players, new posts here and on reddit every day, and at least three people streaming on twitch at any one time.
Also, styles, there actually is;

(Currently 785 people playing as I write this!)

Thought as much. But I think there are a lot more people playing it on other platforms or offline so their stats are not shown in the grand scheme of things.Gencool wrote:Also, styles, there actually is;

Re: FTL just seems dead.
I can say for certain that FTL is one of those games I could and will be playing 10 years from now. It's great, not every game, not even games that I truly enjoy can achieve that, but FTL does. Other 10 year classics: Shogun: Total War 1, Warcraft 3, (insert favorite JRPGs here), Chess? Idk. It's not a huge list. Oh! METAL GEAR SOLID baby. And of course -- Faster Than Light.

Re: FTL just seems dead.
You're seeing "Dead" the wrong way.
Small games with relatively small communities aren't "Dead". In fact, such a small community is good and makes it more "Alive" than some games with massive communities, like C.O.D. (Mmmm... Fish...)
FTL isn't massive, that's for sure, but it still has dedicated players.
By the time I defeat the flagship, it probably will be dead. And I will probably be dead too.
